The BoReTech Group (6887), a prominent name in the international environmental sector, is a multinational enterprise dedicated to plastic sustainability. Its subsidiary, BoReTech Resource Recovery Technology, has capitalized on the market potential of waste PET bottles by building a comprehensive recycling and regeneration ecosystem. This model not only achieves total waste reduction but also creates significant economic advantages through the circular economy.
With 35 years of expertise in plastic waste reduction and resin regeneration, the group includes Zhejiang BoReTech Environmental Engineering, Ansun Chemical Fiber, and Taiwan BoReTech Resource Recovery Technology. The group has successfully implemented over 313 production lines across 43 countries, processing more than 5.8 million tons of plastic annually. BoReTech was notably the second environmental plant in Taiwan to receive EPA certification for PET bottle recycling and regeneration. As the PET market matured, BoReTech evolved into an engineering powerhouse, offering everything from equipment R&D and proprietary technology to turnkey plant exports and project management services, becoming a preferred global strategic partner for environmental technology.
Pao-Hao Ou (歐柏豪), Chairman of BoReTech Resource Recovery Technology, noted that PET (thermoplastic polymer) is characterized by its lightweight, high stability, and non-biodegradability—yet it is 100% recyclable. BoReTech’s core technology covers the entire spectrum of PET flake processing: sorting, crushing, washing, drying, separation, and re-pelletization. For composite packaging materials, the company employs both physical recycling and chemical recycling methods, such as hydrolysis, glycolysis, pyrolysis, and solvent-based processes. Regardless of the method, all recycled resins must obtain quality certifications from developed nations and provide full traceability (production logs), tracking the material from the source to the final shipment.
Chairman Ou emphasized that as a leader in recycled plastics, staying close to market demand is paramount. Product development is guided by user experience, ensuring that the recycled materials are both safe for manufacturing and high in quality. This commitment to "premium quality at a competitive price" has earned the trust of major international food and beverage brands. Furthermore, BoReTech is now targeting the recycling potential of PET trays—a widely used packaging material for fruits and vegetables that is often overlooked and discarded as waste.
Environmental sustainability is a global consensus. BoReTech remains dedicated to developing new green technologies, striving not only to protect the planet but also to create new value in a sustainable future.
